Computer Hardware:

My current personal computer (as of Jan 2025) is a 16 inch 2021 M1 Macbook Pro with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.

Peripherals:

Peripherals are as crucial for productivity as software. I sometimes move barracks rooms, so everything (except the monitor) must fit in a backpack.

Headset: Audio-Technica ATH-M50xSTS-USB streaming headset with a good built-in microphone.
Keyboard: A Lenovo variant of the IBM UltraNav SK-8835. It has a trackpoint so I rarely need to move my hands for the mouse.
External Drives: Two SanDisk Extreme Portable SSDs for handeling media and backups.
Dock: A ThinkPad Universal USB-C Dock to connect everything to my MacBook with a single cable.

Proprietary Applications I Use:

Alfred . Launch apps, run searches, control system tasks, view/clear clipboard history, manage Apple Music—all via keyboard shortcuts.
Little Snitch. A customizable firewall with updateable blocklists from The Blocklist Project, Fabton, and Peter Lowe.
Camtasia. Screen recording and video editing.
Parallels Desktop. Runs Windows in “Coherence Mode,” so Windows apps appear alongside macOS apps.
CleanMyMac and DaisyDisk for visualizing and cleaning disk space.
Sideloadly. For iPhone app sideloading, renewing certificates weekly.
Orbstack for Linux VMs and Docker containers.
